MEET THE “WIZARD OF WOOD”

When you are given the nickname the “Wizard of Wood” it is an honor that has to be earned. In the case of Everett Abrams, this nickname stuck early on in his career and he could not run from it, so it became embraced.

Currently, the “Wizard of Wood” has become the leading expert in Exterior Wood Restoration across the United States and beyond. He is responsible for teaching and educating tens of thousands of people through his Exterior Wood Restoration Class for over 20 years. In this class there is an accompanying manual that many consider the “Bible” for Exterior Wood Restoration. His many accomplishments include participation on the Joint Coatings Committee, various awards, many articles written and published, and involvement in so many companies, associations, organizations and much more that have made an impact on the industry that will last for many years.

To earn the nickname the “Wizard of Wood,” Everett not only had to deliver amazing results in his service business Deck Restoration Plus but, he had to make a positive impact on others, helping them to have the same success restoring wood as he has done throughout his career. Many of these contractors testify to the success and profitability of their companies thanks to Everett’s instruction, education, leadership, and support.

Today, the “Wizard of Wood” teaches his Exterior Wood Restoration Classes online, in person (please refer to our schedule), and at Boot Camps on the “Training Deck” in Shamong, NJ. This is a one-of-a-kind deck that has many different species of wood, composites and PVC decking, as well as many other features and wood structures attached to learn the construction, replacement, and restoration of all these surfaces.
