Our History

Deck Restoration Plus is a company that was started over 30 years ago that initially focused on Exterior Wood Restoration. Back then most contractors used oil-based products to stain exterior surfaces. As time passed, the government began to regulate the coatings industry and oils stopped performing as they once did. Then environmental conditions and the awareness of our impact on the environment began to influence the industry.

At that time, the “Wizard of Wood,” Everett Abrams, decided it was time to try and create a wood stain that was water-based but performed like an oil-based stain. What was created is the Deck Restoration Plus line of Deck & Wood Stains that we have today.

This was only offered to the company franchise group at that point in time. From 2015-2017 Everett Abrams began to change the business model, eliminating the franchises and making the stains and restoration products available to the public. While the stain has a proven track record of over 20 years it has only been available to the public for 7 years. What an amazing decision to change our direction, because the need for this product has never been greater. We are excited about the growth and popularity of our stains and products. The feedback we get from contractors and customers who use the product is so rewarding.
